THE Battle Proms returns to Highclere Castle next year.

And buying tickets for the event is now even easier, thanks to the new e-tickets.

The 14th annual Highclere Castle Battle Proms concert will take place on Saturday, August 2 and will include all of the favourite highlights such as a full orchestral programme, Spitfire display, breathtaking fireworks, Napoleonic cavalry, 200 live cannons, picnic in the park atmosphere and a sing-along ‘Last Night of the Proms’ finale.

Returning for the 14th Annual event, this picnic concert will once again take place on the lawns directly in front of this iconic building, affording wonderful views of the striking architecture and incredible photo opportunities, especially during the dramatic firework finale.

Loved by many for its central role in the hit ITV series Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle was the seat of the 5th Earl of Carnarvon who, in 1922, famously discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun with his colleague Howard Carter.

Today the castle is also host to an Egyptian Exhibition that celebrates the 5th Earl’s achievements.

Every ticket purchased will go towards the Battle Proms’ chosen charity Combat Stress. Over recent years, Battle Proms picnic concerts have raised over £166,000 to support this worthwhile cause.

Tickets are priced £29.50 until January 31. The gate price of £40 will be subject to availability.
