A POPULAR food festival is set to return next month.

Festival Place will be holding the popular Eat Street food festival in the shopping centre between 11am and 3pm on April 3 and April 4.

The event, which promises to offer free food and entertainment, will see TV chef Jean-Christophe Novelli take to the stage at the shopping centre between noon and 2pm on both days to showcase quick and easy French classics during his demonstrations.

Fans of the chef will also have the chance to have their books signed by him.

In addition, restaurants such as Wagamama, Giraffe and Gourmet Burger Kitchen will be offering tasters of some of the food they offer and visitors with a sweet tooth will be able to enjoy tasty treats from the likes of Costa and Thorntons.

Budding bakers will also be invited to put their creative cupcake skills to the test in the Great Festival Bake Off.

Festival Place marketing manager Sarah Murphy said: “This is the third year that we have held our Eat Street event and we are delighted that Jean-Christophe Novelli is going to be joining us.

“We look forward to welcoming both local shoppers and those from further afield and showcasing some of the fabulous food available from our restaurants and cafes.”
