Local artists invited to feature in Hampshire County Council exhibit in the Willis Museum
2:47pm Tuesday 12th February 2013 in Leisure
LOCAL artists are invited to contribute to a forthcoming Hampshire County Council Open Art Exhibition.
The exhibition is open to all amateur artists living, working or studying within the Borough of Basingstoke and Deane. Entries selected will be hung in the Exhibitions Gallery of the Willis Museum from March 23 until April 13.
A maximum of three works can be submitted at £3 per artwork.
HCC would like to see a wide range of art, including paintings, textile art, photographs and crafts in the exhibition. The only condition is that it must be able to be hung on a wall on open display.
Visitors will vote for their favourite work in the exhibition and a prize will be awarded to the winner.
All entries must be on the official form, which is available from the museum or can be downloaded from hants.gov.uk/willis-museum. All forms must be returned by March 9.
NB: Amateur for the purposes of this exhibition means artists who are not wholly earning their living from their art.
