Could you be a teen star? Bournemouth auditions to take place soon

A NEW competition for teens and pre-teens is heading to the south west, with auditions coming up in Bournemouth.

Teen Star was launched this week by Future Music, who produce the Open Mic UK competition. It’s looking to find the UK’s best teen singer, duo, vocal group or rapper and auditions will take place soon at Carrington House Hotel in Bournemouth.

The eventual winner will receive a £5,000 cash prize to help develop their music. Contestants also have the chance to win prizes along the entire course of the competition, such as recording studio time with some of the country’s top producers and extensive coverage and promotion.

TeenStar is open to all, with auditions split into three age categories: late-teens, mid-teens and pre-teens. Judges will be some of the music industry’s top professionals, including representatives from BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, regional press, local studios and record labels. The grand final will take place in The indigO2, within The O2 in London.

The Teen Star competition is open to anyone aged 19 and under. Find out more from the website teenstarcompetition.co.uk.
