FILM fans shouldn’t miss this weekend’s Red Carpet Screenings Film Festival & Exhibition.

On Saturday from 4.30pm in Central Studio, the festival will screen new work from both local and national award winning film makers. The film makers themselves will be interviewed live on stage after the screening of their film so that the audience can learn about the process of film making and any of their future projects.

There will also be an advanced screening of a mystery film by multi award winning film maker James Webber and a sneak peak at Geoff Harmer's feature film Addict with a live on-stage interview.

Red Carpet Screenings have been running film festivals in Basingstoke since May 2010 and exist to provide support and film screening opportunities to the independent media community. In May 2012, Red Carpet Screenings won a Place To Be Proud Of award for its contribution to arts and entertainment in the town. With four large film festivals being staged in Basingstoke by per year, the town now has one of the most active film communities in the country, and is a new centre for independent filmmaking in the UK.

The films to be screened will be: Les Cobardes by Angel Zamora, In Passing by David Cuthbertson, White Noise by Harriet Brown, 4th Wall by Tyrone Lewis, Cubicle by Charles Bradlaugh, Fragments by Chris Chapman, Inertia by Will Herbert and Miss-guided by Will Fuller.
