TRAIN to Gain now helps companies provide extra skills for many of their staff at no cost at all.
You will probably have seen the television or press advertisements for Train to Gain, the Government-funded training programme for employees.
However, what the advertisements haven't said is that there have been significant changes - springing from feedback from employers - that make Train to Gain more flexible and allow many more employees to qualify for fully-funded training.
English and maths are now free for all eligible employees.
Employees needing help with maths or English to Level 2 can get free training. They don't even need to be taking an occupational qualification at the same time - the help is available independently of everything else.
This means that the graduate trainee or professional challenged by maths or the writing of reports, as well as the employee with no existing qualifications, can both get the help he or she needs at no cost to the company.
BCOT has an excellent record of delivering maths and English in the workplace using its team of qualified, experienced tutors.
Companies are assured of a professional assessment that is sensitive to the needs of employees and a training programme to fit company schedules.
Fully-funded Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications Train to Gain now offers higher-level qualifications at no cost.
Younger employees, aged 19 to 25, may now take a free first Level 3 or first Level 4 Train to Gain-approved qualification, saving their company at least £692 compared with last year's arrangements.
Whole Organisation Development.
Most companies can now receive free training for many more employees.
For eligible staff, aged 16 to 25, there are apprenticeships or advanced apprenticeships (both available free of charge from BCOT) or Train to Gain qualifications at Levels 2, 3 and 4.
For employees aged over 25, there are adult apprenticeships (available free of charge from BCOT) and Train to Gain Level 2 qualifications.
