A YOUNG star from the hit TV show The Apprentice inspired pupils at their awards evening.
Helen Milligan was the guest speaker at The Hurst Community College in Brimpton Road.
The Apprentice runner-up was invited to the school for its annual prize-giving ceremony in which 80 pupils were rewarded for their achievements during the last year.
The 31-year-old began her retail career with a national coffee shop chain, where she worked as business development manager. In 2008 she joined bakery retailer Greggs as retail operations manager for the midlands region, before being promoted to executive assistant, working closely for the Chief Executive on business activities.
She appeared on The Apprentice earlier this year and was offered a job back with Greggs when filming finished.
Miss Milligan encouraged pupils at The Hurst to work hard and show commitment and passion and urged girls to aim high in their careers.
Malcolm Christian, headteacher, said: “Helen was a superb guest – a real role model for our pupils.”
