PUPILS at a Basingstoke school became recording artists for a day when they made a CD of their Christmas production.
More than 530 children at St Mark's Primary School, in Hatch Warren, sang numbers from their show Christmas Around the World.
The 12-track CD, featuring a cover designed by a pupil, will be sold to parents for £10 to raise money for the school to buy musical instruments.
Mark Halls, who led the production this year, said: "Every year we do something that involves the whole school.
"It's the first time we have done a CD and hopefully we can make some money from it and the recording session went swimmingly."
The show, written by James Wright, tells the story of four children who discover a box of Christmas crackers which, when pulled, transport them to a different country.
The children will perform the show on December 12 and 13.
