DURING 2009, we offered a varied programme to interest our members – navigational rallies, classic car runs, marshalling on stages rallies (including Rally GB in Wales) a Thames cruise, talks about Formula One, rallying in Sunbeam Tigers, modern car manufacturing, inter-club skittles, a treasure hunt around Sonning and a film night.
Members of the club mostly live in Hampshire and Berkshire. We are very happy to welcome members from outside this area – Surrey, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Hertfordshire and Sussex are not too far away. We even have members in Wales, Scotland and the Isle of Man, although we don’t often see them at meetings.
Meetings are usually held on the last Thursday of the month at The Jolly Miller. We have no more monthly meetings this year but be assured the programme of events for 2010 is already taking shape.
Next year’s programme will start with a navigation evening on January 28 at The Jolly Miller, in North Warnborough.
Ashleigh White has organised a table-top rally, which will involve using or learning simple map-reading skills.
