VILLAGE market: wonderful to see such a large crowd and so many stalls with crafts and foods. Next date is Saturday, 5 May. How lucky we are to have so much choice of fresh foods of all kinds and many crafts too.
ROMAN Talk by Professor Michael Fulford will be held in the church, not Village Hall, on Wednesday, 9 May and entitled Religion in Iron Age & Roman Britain. This talk is free of ticket charges and starts at 7.30pm.
FUN Run; the date is Saturday, 12 May, with the five mile run starting at 11am. You need to book in advance if possible and adults will pay £12.50 children £6.50. ROYAL Wedding Coffee in the Methodist Church hall from 10am on Saturday, 19 May. There will also be a cake and plant sale.
CANTEMUS; around 60 people came along to this wonderful concert last Saturday. What a treat with all kinds of choral music, starting with three pieces from the 16th century, followed by a humorous monologue on street signs starting with mind the gap, then classical guitar solos and ending with Over the Rainbow and Begin the Beguine amongst others. Music to charm everyone whatever your taste!
