THE Falcon flies again! The lights are on (well, almost) and somebody's home – welcome to Stephanie Hislop and RAF engineer Steve Inglis, who have taken on the lease of the former Frog and Wicket, now to be known as The Falcon Inn. By now the electricity should be turned back on and Stephanie will be cooking up a storm for hot meals this weekend, so do stop by and say hi!
RUMBLE in the jumble: Don’t forget, it’s the Scouts Jumble Sale this Saturday, at 2pm. Donations gratefully accepted from 10.30am to noon at the village hall. Clear out those cupboards to make room for all those Christmas presents! Ring Richard or Sue Whistler on 763118 if you have larger items that need collecting.
AN EVENING in Nepal ...right on our doorstep!: Adventurer James Ketchell will be speaking at the village hall this Saturday, from 7.30pm, in aid of the Hook Explorer Scouts.
Tickets are £20 and include a sparkling reception and a taste of sub-continental cuisine presented by The Gate of India. Ring 07710 103015 for more info.
