EUROPEAN Day of Languages: Was celebrated by Linguatastic students and members of the public in Chineham last Saturday. More than 60 people attended and enjoyed the “Europeanthemed” entertainment.
COACH trip to Bath Christmas Market: Takes place on Saturday, December 1. The coach leaves Four Lanes Community Centre at 8.30am and departs from Bath at 5pm. The Roman Baths are transformed into a Christmas shoppers’ haven “The Bath Christmas Market”. In the heart of Bath’s main shopping district, 129 traditional wooden chalets adorn the streets; each one offering unique, hand-made and unusual gifts, decorations and food items.
The cost is £15. Contact Four Lanes Community Centre on 810499 for further information or to book a place.
ADVANCED notice: Chineham WI is hosting a craft fair on Saturday, October 20, from 10am until 1.30pm at Christ Church. More information to follow.
CHINEHAM Conservation Group: Next meeting on Sunday, October 21, when the group will be removing snowberries in Guinea Copse. Volunteers are very welcome, including children (must be supervised).
