PARISH councillor election result: With almost 50 per cent of the electorate voting, the results were: Gavin Park Weir – 105 votes, Glen Horgan 20 votes.
Since moving to Ellisfield two years ago, Gavin and his wife Janey have thrown themselves into village life, joining local community groups and activities.
We warmly welcome him on to the parish council and look forward to his contribution.
KINGFISHERS and Owls: What an exciting week for bird lovers in the village.
Members of the Horticultural Society enjoyed a talk on kingfishers and the Ellisfield Ladies organised a moonlit trip to the Hawk Conservancy Trust, near Andover, to visit the resident owls.
As a keen owl lover, I eagerly await their report on the evening, as I am sure it was a hoot!
CHRISTMAS Fayre on Saturday, November 17: Hey good looking, what you got cooking for the home produce stall?
It’s not too early to start preparing your delicious donation of cakes, biscuits, preserves, pies, chutneys etc. More details about the event will follow.
