SPECIAL service: No morning service this Sunday, at the Methodist Church, Instead, at 6pm, there will be a special service to celebrate the work of local preacher Richard Godfrey, who is retiring after 40 years.
BARGAIN Basement: This Saturday, from 11am to 1pm at the RBL Hall, in Crown Lane, for the Poppy Appeal.
MACMILLAN: Penny Potter thanks everyone who attended her recent coffee morning and helped to raise £427 in aid of this worthwhile charity.
ST MARY’S Junior School: Is holding a new parents afternoon on November 7, from 1.30pm.
FRIENDS of Basing House: Meet on October 9, at 7.30pm. Bob Clarke will be speaking on “Grub Street to Fleet Street”. Admission £1.
COFFEE mornings: “First Friday” is today, with Mrs Sadler, at 36 Lambs Row, Lychpit, from 10.30am to noon. Coffee Break is on October 12, same times, at the Methodist Church, in The Street.
KNIT and Knatter: Every Tuesday at The Bakehouse, in The Street, from 9.30am to 11.30am. All are welcome.
