NEWS from St Mary’s Church: This Saturday, the Eucharist of St Michael and All Angels will be celebrated at 9am Eucharist in the Bolton Chapel.
The Harvest Service is on Sunday, at 9.30am, and will be attended by the uniformed organisations of the parish.
Food contributions of tinned goods and staples such as rice and pasta are welcomed for the Basingstoke Food Bank.
Financial donations this day will go towards Veteran’s Aid.
Father Alec is planning to introduce a Family Eucharist in addition to regular services and wants to hear ideas from parents and young people who would like to be involved. Call him on 01256 354707 or email vicar@stmarysold basing.org.uk.
The recent Garden Party, organised by Mrs Bashford, was thoroughly successful and raised more than £700. It’s a very good way to put the ‘fun’ back into fundraising, so looking forward to December, plans are afoot for the biggest Christmas Tree Festival yet.
