LUNCH Club: In August, the club enjoyed a meeting at Bramley Vicarage, where Reverend John Lenton and Ann were their hosts for a special meal.
Starting off with drinks of Pimms followed by a delightful summer lunch.
On September 12, it was back to the village hall.
Before the meal, Gill and Anna described their days out at the Olympics. Both were impressed by the noise of the cheers of supporters, joyful atmosphere and helpful volunteers. All then enjoyed Judy’s two-course lunch. The next meeting will be on October 10. All welcome, call 882441.
KNITTING Circle: The next meeting will be on Tuesday, at Meadow View. Edna and Phyl say thanks to all who have made donations of wool, we need no more at present.
ON A tandem for the hospice: Sandra and Nigel have gathered sponsorship funds from their mammoth tandem ride which took them from Land’s End to John O’Groats and we congratulate them on this wonderful project and raising more than £2,000 for St Michael’s Hospice. Any more donations are, of course, very welcome.
