HARVEST Lunch and Auction of Produce: I gather from my children, who attended in my absence, that the Harvest Lunch and Auction of Produce was a roaring success.
Well done to all who took part, and I will update you on profits as soon as the final reckoning has been made.
CLIDDESDEN WI: Meets today, in the village hall from 7pm. Cliddesden WI, as I learnt from our very informative newsletter this month, is a mere four years younger than the actual WI itself, and as such is celebrating its 90th birthday this month. There will be no competition, but there will be a buffet, cake and entertainment.
PANTO rehearsals: As the nights draw in, panto rehearsals also begin with the usual chaotic read-through, as we find out who we are to play, what humiliations will be visited upon us this year, and what gargantuan scenery Mr Capehorn will be called upon to produce.
Save the dates in your diaries: December 7 and 8. Further details will be released as and when necessary.
