THE TimeShare Showband: A few tickets for sale at £7.50 this Saturday night at the Royal British Legion Club for some 1960s/1970s dancing fun.
HARVEST Festival: Will be celebrated at the Methodist Church, in The Street, on Sunday, from 10.30pm. Gifts of dried and non-perishable goods (though not tins) would be gratefully received for forward transmission to poor families in Romania by Jane Ballard and Vic and Pat Blunden. Other traditional harvest gifts will be auctioned to help with this Christian charity work.
JUMBLE Sale: £607 towards village hall funds was raised last week. Grateful thanks to everyone.
CARNIVAL: Quite a superb day for all concerned with wonderful weather and crowds of people enjoying themselves.
This will be Beryl Viner’s last year as committee chairman and her tireless contribution to carnival organisation will be greatly missed.
MILLFIELD Conservation Group: Welcomes volunteers to assist in some gentle pathway construction work from 10am this Sunday, meeting at the play area.
