FUN Run: This Saturday, entries from 9.30am on the day only. Adults £7, under- 16s £4, family of four is £15. There will be a short 4km run and a 9km route.
EBENEEZER Garden at the Methodist Church: Will be open on Sunday, and cream teas will be served between 2.30pm and 4.40pm.
SWAZI Children’s Choir: Came to Silchester School last Thursday, and entertained children, staff and guests to almost an hour of singing and dancing.
These children, all orphans due to AIDS, are part of the Challenge Ministries. The school sponsors a girl named Rachel. How inspiring they all were.
HARVEST Supper at the Barn on September 29. Tickets £10, children £5. Contact 9700 999 to order yours. They are selling fast.
BOUNDARY Walk: Is on September 30, leaving the hall at 11.30am, arriving back around 4pm after a stop at Brickledon Farm for our picnic lunch. Dogs (on leads) and children most welcome.
ADVANCE notice: On October 6, “The Group Sax” will give an afternoon concert for parents and children.
