SHERFIELD Show: The 46th show took place last Saturday, with trophies being awarded to John Attwood, Gordon Brain, Sally Handford, Audrey Gordon, Janice Hens, Veronica Upton, Jane Farrow, Cliff Wythe, Gordon Joslin and Mervyn Larner.
Winners in the children’s categories were Matilda Wheeler, Erin Cook, William Gosden and Bethany Rendell.
The presentations were made by Peggy Hutchins. Proceeds from this year’s show go to local Guiding and Scouting.
LAST Night of the Proms: Comes to the village hall on Saturday, with doors open at 7pm. First half – live soloists; second half – Royal Albert Hall on large screen. Tickets from 01256 880075, email tickets@ sherfieldvillagehall.co.uk .
BEER Festival: Is on September 22. Thirty real ales, hog roast and live bands.
