MORRIS Dancing: At the Calleva Arms tonight, from 8pm, with “Berkshire Bedlams and Customs and Excise team”.
VILLAGE Market: Is this Saturday, with all the regular stalls, plus Sally the barber.
PHOENIX Club: Meets in the Club Room at 2pm next Wednesday, when the speaker will be Andrew Port, a physiotherapist.
SILCHESTER Association Beer Festival: Takes place on September 8, from 4pm onwards. Tickets now on sale are £10, to include tasting, a light supper and a half pint tankard. There will also be wine and soft drinks. Music by “Grandpa’s Spells”.
CAR Boot Sale: Is on Sunday, from noon for sellers, 12.30pm for buyers.
FUN Run: On Saturday, September 22, entries from 9.30am on the day only.
Adults £7, under-16s £4, family of four is only £15.
CRICKET: The match against the “Kiwis” on bank holiday Monday had to be cancelled due to lack of players.
