OAKLEY Ramblers: Plan an evening walk next Thursday, meeting in the school lay-by, in Oakley Lane, at 6.40pm for a 6.45pm start.
New members are always welcome, but please contact the walk leaders on 780818 or 814097 to confirm the details.
DOG walkers: Are again causing trouble by not clearing up after their pets. Two particular areas of concern are around the school lay-by and by the village notice board, opposite the pond. Both areas have rubbish bins, so there is no excuse. Just bag it and bin it.
NEXT Jumble Sale: Is on Saturday, September 1, in East Oakley Village Hall, where Oakley Gardening Club will be holding a sale, starting at 2pm.
STILL wanted: Someone to take over this weekly village report after next week. I am told that many people read the community reports, so if you think these are worth having, please consider doing it yourself!
