RBL Women’s Section: A very well-attended afternoon was enjoyed last Saturday, at the strawberry tea in aid of the Poppy Appeal.
The Ladies are having their usual monthly meeting tonight, in the RBL Hall, at 7.30pm.
POST Office: Please sign the petition in the the Old Basing Convenience Store, Belle Vue Road, as soon as possible. The more signatures obtained, the stronger the case towards reintroducton of this vital service. Also, many thanks to Ravi for his donation of yarn for charity knitting projects.
KNIT and Knatter: This group has started well in The Bakehouse, in The Street, on Tuesdays, from 9.30am to 11.30am, so why not pop along?
FORTHCOMING Events: The Village Show is on the afternoon of Sunday, September 9.
The carnival is on Saturday, September 15, at the Recreation Ground; and there will also be a Garage Sale at 3 Springfield Place, The Street.
On Sunday, September 16, Mrs Bashford is holding a Cream Tea and Sale in her pleasant garden at 99 Cavalier Road, in aid of St Mary’s Church.
