GOING for Gold or Doing Your Best: Is the theme of the Arts and Flower Festival at St Leonard’s Church this weekend.
Local people will be displaying their achievements and talents. Starting at 10am on Saturday, it will be open until 7pm, when the concert starts.
There will be bell tower tours, refreshments will be available, plants will be for sale and there will be a raffle.
On Sunday, it will be open from noon to 4pm.
EVERGREENS: The July meeting was a very interesting and enthusiastic craft demonstration by Jan Painter. She spoke about the various crafts she had brought. The next meeting is a slide show on August 6.
NWR: Entered into the spirit of the Olympics by playing a beetle drive last week.
A fun enjoyable evening, and Jo Brennan scored the most points with Jane Brydges having the most beetles!
GOOD luck: Peggy says: “Happy Faces wishes everyone a happy and safe summer. We look forward to seeing you all next September. Good luck to our leavers going on to big school.”
