ST MARY’S Church: If you weren’t able to attend yesterday’s induction of the new vicar, The Reverend Alec Battey, he will be preaching his first sermon this Sunday, at the 9.30am Sung Eucharist.
Other services will be held, as usual, at 8am and 5.30pm.
The monthly Men’s Breakfast group takes place on Saturday, from 8.45am, and men of all ages are invited for food and fellowship in the Parish Room.
ENTERTAINMENTS: The Royal British Legion Club is holding a 1970s disco tomorrow, at the Crown Lane Hall from 7.30pm. Tickets on the door.
The Friends of St Mary’s still have a few tickets left for their Revival Dance on Saturday night with “Keely and the Dealers” in the village hall. Contact Chris on 358533. A lively weekend ensues!
