PARISH Council: Last week, the council received an update on the situation regarding unauthorised banners and similar advertising and is expected to soon have formal delegated powers to remove banners after due notification.
The rapid response warden has retired and the parish is looking to replace him.
Anyone interested in taking on this role should contact the clerk, Sally Jackson, on 01256 474500 or email clerk@chineham.gov.uk.
A CELEBRATION of the new exercise facilities at Chineham Village Hall playing field: Takes place this Saturday, from 1pm until 4pm. There will be a bouncy castle, BBQ, face-painter, a magician, art and craft and lots of other entertainment.
The mayor will be there for the official opening of the facilities at 2pm.
A NEW Adult French Conversation Group: Is to start soon. Local language school Linguatastic will be holding a free taster session on Wednesday, July 11, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, at Four Lanes Community Centre.
