PARISH Council meeting: In Ellisfield Memorial Hall was well attended last Monday, with many villagers and members of Ellisfield Village Association (EVA) keen to voice their concerns about local planning issues notably the proposed anaerobic digester, retrospective application in relation to the solar farm, ongoing concerns about the Veolia site and the telecommunications mast.
SUNSHINE: Almost guaranteed this Saturday, for the annual Farleigh Summer Fete. From 2pm onwards, you will find a delicious barbecue, cakes, a licensed bar, a variety of stalls, including tombola.
There will be organised games and a balloon race.
The dog show starts at 3pm.
Entry on the day – £2 per class including handsomest dog, prettiest bitch, most appealing eyes, best trick and the dog the judges would most like to take home.
CAR Boot Sale: Also at Farleigh on Saturday afternoon, at a charge of £5 per car. Call Sue Binstead on 01256 351762 to reserve a space. All proceeds of the summer fayre and car boot sale to the Farleigh Club thatch fund.
