BARN Dance: The annual village barn dance is an important fundraiser for our lovely old hall and one of the most popular events of the year.
This year’s dance, last Saturday, was a sell-out and over 100 people enjoyed a fun evening of live music with “Pitchfork” and a fish and chips supper.
GARDENING Club: John Attwood says: “Our January meeting was a very pleasant talk by Derek Leary on “Gardens open for Charity” and was enjoyed by members. We are looking forward to our February meeting which is a talk on “Seeds of Italy” which will be given by Paulo Arrigo on February 20. Our membership is on the increase which is good, and great news that we have been invited to take part in Percy’s plant sale in May”.
LODDON Players: Rehearsals are under way for “The Opposite Sex” to be performed in April. Secretary Gill, says: “We always welcome new members and are happy that we have a new member in this production.”
