LAST chance for Christmas trees! This Sunday is the final day for collection of your old trees. Bring them to the grass area opposite the school lay-by, in Oakley Lane.
WAR memorial stories: When St John’s Church is demolished, the war memorial will be repositioned and the names of the fallen from the Second World War will be added to those from the First World War.
Two members of the parish council plan to produce a simple book with the stories behind the names. The soldiers names from East Oakley and Newfound, Church Oakley including Malshanger, and Deane (including Oakley Hall) are listed in Link, so if any family members have information about their ancestors, or photos of them, contact Sally on 70886 or Ros (office hours) on 78144. Or email oakleydeanepc@gmail.com.
