SHERFIELD NWR: Met last Thursday and set their programme for the year. Gill says: “Our theme is Taking the Challenge because of the Olympics.
To this end, we have an evening on ‘Women Who Faced Challenges’ as well as adopting challenges of our own.
To celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee we are having a Diamond evening and we are taking part in the Big Read, which will be one book which the whole of NWR will read. Our themed evening will be Greek, to be held in March.
We will have an evening ramble, safari supper, Christmas evening, telephone quiz, music evening and play evening.
We all agreed to start a walking group and I’m hoping to get this off the ground very soon.”
LODDON Players: Recently held auditions for their spring production “The Opposite Sex” by David Tristram.
Performances on April 26, 27 and 28 in the village hall.
Director Matt Stanley says: “We’ve done David Tristram plays before and so our audience will know what to expect.” See loddonplayers atsherfield.co.uk.
