CHINEHAM Conservation Group: Will be coppicing in Great Sorrell's Copse on Sunday. Volunteers will meet at Mulberry Way, just before 10am.
Tools, including gloves, will be provided. The work party will run until 1pm, with a coffee break. Everyone is welcome (although children must be accompanied by an adult). For further information, contact Ann on 07963 876440 or Jane on 01256 817884.
BALL court: The bid for a refurbished ball court at Four Lanes Junior School is expected to shortly be approved by Hampshire County Council. The controversy over lighting means that this aspect may have to go to a planning committee meeting and will thus inevitably delay the project and may even mean abandonment.
CHINEHAM Parish Council: Is currently in discussion with Old Basing and Lychpit Parish Council concerning possible support for a Community Speedwatch arrangement.
This will mean that community volunteers carry out speed checks around the parish. For further information, call 474500 or email clerk@chineham.gov.uk.
