HARVEST supper: On September 25, at Silchester Farm Barn. Tickets on sale from me, £7 adults, children under-12 £4.
HARVEST festival service: On Sunday, September 26, at 10am. As usual, harvest produce will go to Barnado’s at Wokingham.
HERITAGE Weekend: September 10-12, in the parish church. Includes Ride and Stride, displays and talks. Information from 0118 9700825.
AUCTION: On September 11. Viewing from 9am, sale starts promptly at 10am.
Goods in on September 10 from 6.30pm. A bumper sale is hoped for, as profit will go to the hall extension fund.
SING-ON: A comedy about a musical. October 8, 9, 15 and 16. Tickets from 0118 9815600.
BRASS and organ concert: On October 16, at the church, starting at 7pm.
VILLAGE market: On Saturday, from 10am to noon.
CRICKET: Congratulations to Silchester CC, who have won promotion to Regional Division 2 NE of the Hampshire League.
Despite losing their last game away to Twyford they still finished second to gain automatic promotion.
