CARNIVAL princess and consort chosen: The carnival disco event last Friday was a great success with 37 children being entertained by resident DJ Steve Western at the Royal British Legion Hall.
Katherine Parry, six, and Madalia Sangway, seven, were selected as the princess and attendant respectively, with Conway Muggins, seven, as the prince and Ben Condliffe, seven, as the escort.
Pat Brace, from the carnival committee, promises a splendid start to the procession with several bikers on Harley Davidsons and three bands.
PALM Sunday: On March 28, the service will commence at 9.15am with the Blessing of the Palms at Old Basing Infant School and then walk on to St Mary’s Church for the rest of the Liturgy.
BOLTON Under-5s Pre-school: Are holding an Easter Treasure Hunt around Old Basing on Saturday, April 3, to raise funds for the group, and welcome all ages to join in.

EASTER Bazaar: The Ivy Club’s annual fundraising event is this Saturday, from 2pm, at the RBL Hall, in Crown Lane. A warm welcome awaits visitors of all ages – you don’t have to be over 60 to attend.
