PARISH council: Met on February 15. A representative for Friends of Farriers Group took up the matter of the suitability or otherwise of the proposed site for Little Apples Playgroup building.

Other sites were mentioned at the back of Yew Tree Close and Holly Close. The matter is still ongoing.

The request for the area of land in Longbridge Road to be given Village Green Status will be considered at a nonstatutory enquiry to be held from April 26 to 28 in Bramley Village Hall.

The council will shortly issue a revised Guide to Walks around Bramley which will be free and available from the clerk and at suitable venues in the village.

SUPPER and talk with slides: Cross House was packed on February 12, as the evening started with a glass of wine before supper of a choice of delicious fish pie or curry then sticky toffee pudding.

Adam Rattray then took to the floor and showed his selection of slides of the beautiful work of Carl Fabergé and his business.

Adam also related to the family history, decline and escape from the Russian Revolution.

There was a raffle to end the very good evening. Many thanks to the organisers.

TRAVEL tokens: A reminder to holders of 2009/2010 aqua coloured travel tokens that these expire on March 31.
