ENTERTAINMENT: Ellisfield Memorial Hall committee has arranged a delightful evening’s entertainment for Saturday, March 6.

Following success at The Edinburgh Festival, Seven Ages features Kevin Tomlinson.

Part comedy and part serious theatre, the show explores two of the most important questions one can ask oneself – why am I here? and what’s important in my life?

According to William Shakespeare, most of us go through seven stages in life – infancy, childhood, lover, soldier, wisdom, retirement and old age. Kevin takes true life stories from his own life and that of his audience to explore this concept with humorous effect.

Tickets £10, to include a light supper, are available from Jane Evans on 381470 and Joanne Thomas on 381300.

SPEED restriction: The public consultation on the proposed 30mph limit along Axford Road closed on February 23, so it should not be too long before the restriction is in place, making this stretch of country road safer for all.

DIARY: Other diary dates for March include Monday, March 8, Ellisfield Parish Council Meeting; Tuesday, March 23, Ellisfield Ladies Club AGM and social; Thursday, March 25, Horticultural Society meeting entitled “Weird and Wonderful Plants”.
