WALK: A Sunday morning walk is planned by Oakley Ramblers this coming Sunday.

Meet in the Kennet Way lay-by at 9.50am for a 10am start.

WOMEN’S World Day of Prayer: Will be held on Friday, March 5, starting at 10.30am in Oakley Methodist Chapel by the pond. The service, which has been prepared by Christian women of Cameroon, will last for about one hour and will be followed by refreshments. Both men and women are welcome to attend.

Worldwide, more than three million people in 170 countries will take part, with the first service taking place in Tonga. The Day of Prayer will finish in Western Samoa 35 hours later, while the Oakley service will be one of more than 5,000 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

JUMBLE sale: On Saturday, March 6, Oakley Afternoon WI will hold a sale in East Oakley Village Hall starting at 2pm.
