ST MARY'S PIOCC working party: This afternoon, meeting in the church lobby at 2pm. Tools provided but bring your own gloves.

NORTH Hampshire Downs Ramblers: Will be striding along part of St Swithun’s Way this Saturday, meeting at 10.30am in the free car park in Avington. Tony Stoney on 479951 has details.

THE Men’s Breakfast Group: Meets from 8.45am this Saturday, in the Parish Room.

EXERCISE for Brains: The Friends of St Mary’s annual quiz is on Saturday night, in the Parish Room at 7.30pm. Bring your own refreshments.

THE Lent Course at St Mary’s Church: Began last Monday, and will be meeting for the next five weeks led by Father Mark (323794), from 1.15pm to 2.45pm.

WE ALL love carnival!

But let's face it – the procession was poorly supported last year.

So this June 19, there will be no entry fee for the floats and the prize for the best entry overall will be £100. The theme will be “Countries of the World”.

The carnival princess selection disco will be held at the RBL Hall, in Crown Lane, on Friday, March 12.
