PARISH council: Meets on Monday, at 7.30pm in the Club Room.

WOMEN’S World Day of Prayer in Silchester: On Friday, March 5, at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church, organised jointly with St Mary’s Parish Church.

LADIES Breakfast: Also at the Methodist Church, on Saturday. Check with Kathy for details on 0118 9701234.

PHOENIX Club: Meets on Wednesday, at 2pm, in the village hall. All ladies and gentlemen welcome.

The speaker will be Robina Rand, JP on the “Work of the Family Courts”. A sum of £50 has been sent for the Haiti Relief Fund.

VILLAGE market: The next one is on Saturday, March 6, from 10am to noon.

QUIZ night: On Saturday, March 6, at 7pm, organised by Silchester Association.

Bring a team along or join one on arrival.

SILCHESTER calendar: Will be produced once more for 2011. Photos need to be with me by April 15, as we plan to start selling at the fete.

The subject is “Flora, Fauna and Weather in Silchester”.

The cost is £1 per picture entered.
