JUMBLE sale: Basingstoke Amateur Theatrical Society will hold a jumble sale this Saturday, starting at 2pm, in East Oakley Village Hall, in Hill Road.
OAKLEY Pedalers: Will be in action again this Saturday, when they hold two rides. One will be a road ride and the other off-road.
Both will start at the village pond and you are invited to gather there at 10am.
For more information about the Pedalers, you can email Nick or Ken at oakley-pedalers@ dashnet.net.
THE parish council: Is to explore ways of increasing the number of allotments in Oakley as demand is rising.
At the moment, there is a waiting list of 18 hopeful vegetable and flower growers which means that anyone who joins the queue now could face a wait of three years before an allotment becomes available.
Plans for the Peter Houseman Pavilion have taken another step forward.
The revised plans have been agreed by the Football Foundation and are now being discussed by the borough planners.
The Rectory Road pond now looks set to be cleared and landscaped thanks to the generous offer of help from a private contractor.
NEW travel tokens: Will be issued this month, as usual, but the old aqua coloured ones will be valid until March 31.
If anyone has surplus aqua tokens they can be donated to Community Care up to April 6.
PLEASE let me have all your Oakley news by Sunday for publication in the Thursday Gazette, either by phone or email to judyknight@ tiscali.co.uk.
