BEAVERING away: Rotherwick Beaver Colony needs you! Once again we are on the hunt for a new leader(s) as our amazing Claire Johnson is standing down next month after two years in the saddle.

Beavers are open to local boys and girls between six and eight years old, and currently meet in the Scout Hut (term-times only) on a Wednesday from 5.45pm to 6.45pm.

If you or maybe any young leaders that you know may be able to help, please ring Group Scout Leader Richard Whistler or Sue (Akela) on 763118 for an informal chat.

It's a great way to get involved with our village young people, as many of them go to different schools and it's a chance to meet up!

VOX populi, vox dei: The next parish council meeting will be held in the village hall next Wednesday, at 7.30pm.

Among other items for discussion will be the interviewing of candidates for cooption as a new councillor following the departure of Bridget Anderson.
