AUCTION: Is taking place on Saturday, in the hall. Goods in from 6.30pm on Friday.

Sale starts promptly at 10am on Saturday.

Monies raised will go to the planned extension/improvements to our village hall.

LADIES breakfast: Is being held at the Methodist Church on Saturday.

TEA dance: Will be held in the village hall on Sunday, February 28, at 2.45pm.

Lovely tea and entertainment by Denton Dancers.

Come along and enjoy the tea and take part in the dancing.

TRAVEL tokens: Need to be collected from Pamber Heath Memorial Hall from 1.30pm to 4pm on Monday. No collection in Silchester.

Don’t forget to take your paperwork with you for either tokens or bus passes.

WOMEN’S World Day of Prayer: Will be held in Silchester on Friday, March 5, at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church organised jointly with St Mary’s Parish Church.

ROMAN talk: Professor Michael Fulford’s illustrated talk on “Silchester Roman Town” attracted about 100 people to the village hall last Friday.

Details of the 2009 archaeological dig fascinated the large audience. Finds included numerous coins, brooches and a variety of pottery.
