FAIRTRADE fortnight: Takes place from February 27 to March 7.
There will be an exhibition in Sainsbury’s on February 27, when they hope to have children from Silchester School involved, as well as some Cubs. Go along and see the one-metre teacup!
Then, on March 6, some more cubs and their leaders will be handing out leaflets and Fairtrade samples at the Co-op in Franklin Avenue.
Basingstoke Fairtrade group are having an open evening next Tuesday, at 7.30pm, at Basingstoke College of Technology (Lower Concourse, North Side). The mayor will be opening the event.
They would like you to go along to join them to celebrate what they have achieved so far.

MINI market: A mini market is being held on Saturday, March 6, at St Paul’s Church Hall, on The Green, starting at 10.30am.
There will be jumble, bric-a-brac, books, toys and also refreshments. All are welcome.
AIR Cadets: Your local Air Cadet squadron meets on Mondays and Wednesdays and some weekends, at the Medway Hut, behind Barclays bank.
