THE next police residents’ briefing: Takes place on Monday, from 8pm in Chineham Village Hall, where PC Jim Charlton will be giving a talk on identifying drugs factories in our communities.

All residents welcome.

THE parish council: Is hoping that construction of the allotments will start during spring with a minimal preparation time of six weeks. Watch this space!

COPPICING in Tollhouse Copse: This Sunday, Chineham Conservation Group will be coppicing in Tollhouse Copse. The group will meet at Thornhill Way near the bridge over the stream. Nearest postcode is RG24 8RJ.

Volunteers are asked to dress for the weather.

Tools, including gloves, will be provided. The weekend work parties (including this week’s) run from 10am to 1pm, with a coffee break halfway through.
