Ellisfield/Farleigh

WELCOME: To Tara and Rob who have taken over the lease at The Fox Inn.

They hope to reopen the kitchen towards the end of this and are keen to meet local residents and customers from further afield, so do take the opportunity to drop in for a drink and a chat.

PLANNING: A number of people attended the parish council meeting in Ellisfield Memorial Hall last Monday evening to hear Laurence Berwick, of Skirmish, outline his plans for the proposed move of his paintballing operation to Herriard Common, which is the subject of a current planning application.

MISSING pigs: Members of Neighbourhood Watch will be aware that two ornamental lead pigs are amongst garden thefts that have taken place recently across the area.

PC Reid is keen to remind all residents to please be aware of the continued thefts from gardens.

He suggests that residents consider taking photos of their garden ornaments and furniture to catalogue the items.
