LINE dancing: Classes are held at the community centre every Tuesday. Beginners classes start from 7.30pm, improvers from 8pm.

HATS for Haiti: Hatch Warren Junior School will be holding a fundraising Hat for Haiti Day today.

All pupils and staff are encouraged to wear a hat to school in return for a donation to the Haiti appeal.

BATTLE of the Bands: Two bands from Brighton Hill Community College took part in the Battle of the Bands Schools competition in Reading at the end of last month.

The two bands, Bless the Hour and Retrograde, came second and third respectively in the competition, so congratulations to them both for their achievement.

BEAT surgeries: Just a quick reminder that the beat surgery will be held this Saturday, from 11.30am until 1pm, at the Sainsbury’s cafe.

Any local residents with concerns or questions about policing in Hatch Warren and Beggarwood should come along to the surgery for an informal chat.
