FILM: Today, marks the welcome return of the Social and Entertainment Club, who will this month be showing The Kite Runner. Doors (and, yes, licensed bar) open at 7.30pm, film starts at 8pm, at the village hall.
MARDI Gras lunch: On Saturday, the village hall hosts the Mardi Gras Lunch, at 12.30pm for a 1pm kick-off. Tickets are available from Bob Kew (326817), Monica Tilley (351204), Pat Rampton (461034) or Ben Maunder (327859) and are priced at a very reasonable £8 for adults and £4 for under-16s. All proceeds go to St Leonard’s Church, and there is a licensed bar.
