BRAMLEY annual general meeting: On Friday, February 5, Bramley and Romans Floral Society will hold the AGM at 7.30pm in the committee room at the village hall. All are welcome. Contact 01256 880559.

PARISH council: The parish council met on January 18. The effects of the adverse weather was discussed and it was explained that there had to be priorities with gritting and keeping main roads open.

No alternatives were suggested for the SLR traffic signs but there is provision in the budget if needed for them to be continued.

It was advised that the Little Apples Playgroup building application had been submitted before Christmas but that some amendment was required.

Representatives from CRUSE spoke of the organisation’s work and need for more funding, and the council agreed to make a donation of £150.

The spring edition of the parish council newsletter will be due for publication.
