Cliddesden

9:43am Thursday 5th November 2009

TODAY: Is the monthly meeting of the social and entertainment club. This month’s film is The Maltese Falcon starring Humphrey Bogart (my personal teenage heart-throb) as Sam Spade.

The club meets at the Millennium Hall, bar opens at 7.30pm and films start at 8pm. Icecreams are available in the interval, and the club is keen for new people to attend, so please do go along.

The club meets on the first Thursday of each month. Next month’s film is The Kite Runner. It’ll be shown, as I’m sure you can work out, on Thursday, December 3.

TICKETS are now available for the Cliddesden Players panto with performances on Friday and Saturday, December 11 and 12, with a matinee, as usual, on the Saturday.

This year’s offering is Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, written by, er, me.

Ticket prices have gone up slightly this year to £7.50, as we have had a lot of feedback from audience members requesting that the height of the stage be raised so those at the back can see all the action.

All under-16s are free, however, so hopefully this increase won’t break the bank.

We do need some helpers, please, to organise refreshments for the Friday night.

It won’t be too strenuous, and it will be fun!

Also, anyone who would like to help on the door for any of the performances would be welcomed with open arms.

Please contact Angie Fewster on 475848 if you’d like to get involved.
