Ellisfield/Farleigh

FABBATASTIC! Last Saturday, Home Farm Barn was rocking to the ound of the Super Troopers performing a selection of ABBA songs and the Farleigh Men with their own inimitable style of variety act.

Thanks to Theresa Webb for her encouragement and enthusiasm, developing the singing and dancing talents. She was joined by co-stars for each number – Pat Gould opened the show with Mamma Mia, Frances was The Dancing Queen, Blonde Bombshell Barbara believed in angels, Tracey was looking for a man after midnight, Nina met her Waterloo and Sue inspired the Farleigh Men to join the girls on stage for Super Trooper.

Meanwhile, the rest of the girls sang and danced, recreating the Mamma Mia atmosphere in their marvellous costumes.

Following a delicious supper, co-ordinated by chef Rob Wood, the Far-leigh Men had us all laughing until we cried with their hilarious rendition of There’s a Hole in My Bucket.

All this entertainment and enjoyment raised more than £2,000 for The National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease (NACC).

Well done to all those who took part.
