OPEN garden: Last Saturday, Eileen Monger, her daughter Sharon and her family and friends opened their garden and provided afternoon teas for about 35 members of the local branch of the British Polio Fellowship.
All had a good time, and our thanks go to them.
EVENTS at the library: Today, from 10am to noon, is the Scrabble Club. At 10.15am is Baby Rhymetime for carers and babies, and at 2pm is the Thursday Reading Group. For more details, call 0118 9814602.
Tomorrow, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, is Walk Your Way to Health, which is suitable for all ages, but wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Next Wednesday, from 10.15am is Storytime, which is suitable for pre-school children and carers.
Connexions information, careers, advice and support for people aged 13 to 19, is from 2pm to 4pm at the library weekly.
TADLEY Community Centre: On Saturday, an indoor car boot sale will be held from 10am to noon. To hire a table costs £5, which must be booked in advance.
Next Tuesday there is a coach leaving the centre for Salisbury and the Charter Market, which costs £13.
There is also a trip to the New Forest Show on July 29, which costs £25 for adults, children £19 and seniors £23. For more details, call the centre on 0118 9814538.
